took me a sec to figure it out but what you have happening is the 3rd term is the differnce between the first and the second or an=an-2 - an -1  if you see tak a5 it would be a5= a5-2 - a5-1 or a5= a3-a4 witch is a5= 4-(-6) or a5=10  same for the a3 term a3 = a3-2 - a3-1 or a3= a1 - a2 ----- 4=2-(-2) hope this helps
