Solving a Logarithmic Equation - Problem 5 608 views
If two logs have the same base and log x = log y, then x = y. There must not be any sums or differences, and any factors must be written as exponents first. This is a nice way to get rid of logs all together, but remember to check for extraneous solutions! Whatever you put into a log function must be greater than zero.
