For a safe place to rest and restore all her spells she heads back to the main entrance office. She is all too aware that the Shar visitation occurred here, and on entering the room again she feels herself sleepwalking slowly back into Shar's welcoming embrace. So intoxicated is she by Shar that Zanzi immediately finds a place to rest and eagerly lets herself drift into a deep sleep, at which point the implanted 30-60-90 triangle activates and Shar duly takes control of Zanzi's unconscious mind. Once in her dream state Zanzi is again awestruck by this vast and unimaginatively beautiful negative energy being - it literally occupies everywhere intra-cosmological. Shar senses Zanzi's unquestioning devotion to her and begins to reveal things that seem very simple for Zanzi to understand at first but will not be so later when Zanzi tries to piece all the information together in her conscious mind. Something about an original zero dimension existing as pure time, the morphing of time relative to itself giving rise to other dimensions and the interaction between these different dimensions causing instabilities that give rise to the creation of numerous types of incompatible energies and the further morphing of time, which in turn cause the creation of further dimensions in a never ending process that, as an unstoppable cascade effect, creates everything intra- and extra-cosmological. Time being the matrix common to all dimensions, is essentially what everything is - Shar kept emphasising to Zanzi the importance of an inherent instability of time in its purest form preventing it from remaining indefinitely as the zero dimension.

While she sleeps, Zanzi's security systems surreptitiously monitor the 30-60-90 triangle and obtain information about Shar. Shar is a negative energy entity of Neutral Evil alignment. Extrapolation of data indicates that it pre-dates the age of the universe. The entity is also known as the Mistress of the Night, the Nightsinger and the Lady of Loss, and its power level is beyond any kind of measureable scale.

Also while she sleeps Zanzi, as during the first Shar visitation, sobs tears of longing to comfort Shar, who is clearly in great emotional pain. And now Zanzi does something that not even Shar knew she was capable: she pieces together empathically the primary reasons why Shar is so obsessed by such feelings as hate, loss, fear and introspection. These feelings originate from a separation of a single energy entity of which she and the entity of positive energy in equal measure once comprised the whole. An indecision arose within the single energy entity regarding the nature and scope of potential life within the newly created universe, and this lack of certainty eventually resulted in the emergence of twin energies, one to promote and nurture all forms of life and the other, Shar, to extinguish all but the most basic life forms. (Shar fears the lack of control she has over living matter and energy once it evolves volition or independence of thought and is able to control its own destiny). Despite Shar's best efforts and the fact that she's by far the most powerful thing in the universe, her attempts to mould the universe to satiate her needs have thus far failed because of the indefatigability of her adversary, her positive energy twin. Zanzi subsequently encapsulates this situation brilliantly in a bardic song ("Life's What You Make It" - Talk Talk) which sparks an increasingly bitter tug-of-war between Shar and the entity of positive energy for control of this exceptionally gifted elf.
